Light for the People Ministries is a Christian organization whose mission is to spread the gospel in Ireland and and overseas. We dream of seeing communities transformed and in love with Christ. We believe that as Christians we have been called to preach the good news and make disciples.

To be a relevant multicultural Christian organization, which preaches and lives a true gospel in the communities where it operates.
Vision
Reach and influence all people in the community, through healthy relationships and the teaching of the true gospel, building a church in which Christ is the centre, teaching, equipping, and enabling Christians to lead and impact in the diverse areas of influence of society.
We are fulfilling our purpose of 'go and preach the gospel' the good news.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
01. God the Father: Only One Living and True God.
There is only one living and true God. There are three people in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is totally and completely Holy. (Genesis 1:1-31; Psalm 103:19; Psalm 136:1-2; Psalm 45:8–9; 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Matthew 28:19; Matthew 3:16-17; I John 5:7).
02. The Bible: Inspired Word of God.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. (II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; II Peter 1:20- 21; Revelation 22:18-19).
03. God the Son: Jesus Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor. (Psalm 2:7–9; Matthew 2:11; John 1:1- 18; John 5:23; John 10:30; John 14:9; Luke 1:26-35; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1–3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5–11; Colossians 1:15–17; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:24-26).
04. God the Holy Spirit: Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We teach the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He is eternal, underived, possessing all the attributes of personality and deity. As a spirit, He possesses no body. Although distinct from the Father and the Son as a person and in function, He is coequal and consubstantial with Them in divine attributes. (John 3:5-7; John 14:16–17; John 4:23; John 16:7–9)
With the Baptism of the Holy Spirit comes the power for life and service, the gifts given by the Holy Spirit are for ministry to the body of Christ. (Ephesians 1:13; Acts 1:5; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6).
05. Salvation.
We believe every person is disobedient to God’s desires and plans in varying degrees. Any disobedience to God, regardless of how large or small, is characterized as “sin”. “Sin” literally separates each person from God, which is spiritual death. Spiritual death is not God’s desire. People can be united with God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and through Him alone. Jesus died for sinners. Anyone who accepts and believes in Jesus’ death for his or her personal sins, and desires to have Him as King of their life, is forgiven for every sin. Upon this personal decision, God re-establishes a personal relationship with that person and promises eternal life. (John 1:12; John 3:16; John 14:6 Acts 4:12; Ephesians 1:4-8; Ephesians 2:8–10; Matthew 4:17; Acts 16:31; Acts 20:21; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:9–11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Titus 3:3-7; Romans 10:9-10
06. Baptism by Immersion.
We believe in water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11-17; Mark 1:9-10; Matthew 28:18-19; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:3-4).
07. Healing.
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us to that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 10:6-8; 1 Peter 2:24; Acts 3:2-12; Acts 5:15-16; James 5:14-16).
08. Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
We believe that God, in the exercise of His sovereignty, is leading the world and history to its final time. In fulfilment of His promise, Jesus Christ will return to this world, personally and visibly in great power and glory. The dead in Christ will be resurrected, and the believers that are still alive along with them will be transformed, raptured and will be joined to the Lord. The dead also without Christ will be resurrected. The wicked will be condemned and destined to hell and there they will suffer eternal punishment separated from God. The righteous, justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Mark 13:26-27; Hebrews 9:28; Luke 21:27-28; Matthew 24:42; Acts 1:10-11; Revelation 1:7).
09. Those Who Die Outside of Christ.
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Daniel 12:2; John 11:25-26; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14; Romans 6:23; John 10:27-28; John 10:27-28; Philippians 3:20-21; Revelation 21:1-7)
10. Holiness in Marriage.
We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. We believe in the Holiness in marriage and family commitment. We promote strong family values. (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 5:22-28; 1 Corinthians 7:3-5; Hebrews 13:4).
